“ Great menu with enough options for everyone (plus fun drinks and adult beverages). Just hits that comfort food groove very well when you need a grilled cheese with the kids. They also are one of the only businesses I've seen that went to compostable everything, so trash doesn't need to sort. That's pretty nice. ”
“ This Local Kitchen version of The Melt has about 2/3 of the offerings of a standalone location but most of the popular items. The quality of the food is maybe a touch below the standalone location in Palo Alto but that's splitting hairs. MeltBurger: 1/3 pounder (supposedly Angus & American Wagyu), covered with cheddar, and jalapeños + pickles + sauce. Bun is nicely toasted and doesn't fall apart. Solid burger -- top 5 in the bay. Swiss 'n' Shroom MeltBurger: Substitutes Swiss for the cheddar. Includes spinach, mushrooms, onions & ranch. I drop the ranch and add tomato at no extra charge. When I get home, I add spicy mustard. My version is a fantastic burger; the original is good. Three cheese classic: Cheddar, muenster and fontina cheeses on french bread. The bread is crusty and the cheese is melty goodness. The definition of comfort food. Not a fan of the regular fries, the sweet potato fries, or the garlic parmesan fries. Every time I've ordered they've been too soft and not as flavorful as I would expect. If this Melt is closer, no reason to go to a "real" one ”

“ This melt location is inside a "local kitchen" for those of you who do not know what a "ghost kitchen" is. It's usually a delivery/pick up only restaurant, these started to become on the rise due to covid restrictions. This is good in my personal opinion; I'm usually the type of person who would prefer eating takeout at home. I ordered a grilled cheese, bacon cheddar ranch fries, and mac & cheese. Remained very hot and packaged safety by the time it got to my house :). My family ended up loving it, I'm happy that there's a melt location nearby me! I remember watching a documentary about "ghost kitchens" during the start of the pandemic, it was nice to finally see one in person. The staff was very friendly and nice too! Will be coming back to try other food within local kitchens! ”
“ The other day, my job took me to Kaiser Hospital in Santa Clara. When I got done, I noticed I was only 4-5 miles from Local Kitchens @ Cupertino. Although it was near 11pm, I decided to place an order for a MeltBurger & Fries. I thought it might be interesting to see how the restaurant operates in the final hour it's open. So using the Local Kitchens App, I placed an order for a 1/3-lb MeltBurger and Fries (seasoned with salt). I always pickup my own food at Local Kitchens. It probably explains my 4 & 5-star reviews. When you pickup your own food, that food is fresh and hot from the kitchen. You don't pay delivery fees, and you save $$$. The Local Kitchens App said my order would be ready in about 20 mins. When I got to the restaurant, my order wasn't ready. When it was 10 mins pass the ready time, I went inside to see what was going on. The person running the counter explained that they have to redo my fries. From what I heard in the kitchen, someone put the wrong seasonings on the fries and it can't be served like that. I finally got my order at about 11:35pm. How was the food? That food was really HOT! The fries were HOT! Too hot to eat! Can't complain about hot lightly salted fries! Lightly crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The 1/3-lb MeltBurger was still hot and juicy. It's cooked medium anyway, so it's not overcooked and dry. Really, one of the best burgers available. Also, I got a free soda for having to wait. ”
“ Do you love Mac and cheese? Do you like sandwiches? Well then you try the Melt! It's a combination of Mac and cheese in sandwiches form. It literally melts in your mouth. You can also get it with combination of fries. If you don't like sandwiches, then that's okay too. You can order different kind of Mac and cheese and they will make it. There's also burgers and tomato soup. Even the beverages are so refreshing. So if you are a cheese fan, then head on over to the nearest location. And when you don't think it can get any better, they also have soft serve ice cream!! ”
